Hello! So did you end up finding a place down here in San Diego? How are things going with you? Looking forward to the holidays? All these underways the ship is going on is really agrivating!

Yes, I'm in West Hills/Canoga Park.LOL We just recently moved to West Hills last year from Woodland Hills.

I heard from Christa today via email. She appears to be having a good time. I am working on putting a care package for her with books, magazines, junk food and etc. Her birthday is in October, so I thought I would start buying a few things now in preparation for her birthday.

I'm glad to hear Autumn is doing well. How long were you in Canoga Park?

Hi Faith, YES, the 18th can't get here soon enough! Has Autumn remarked about their divisions unity? Sam said in his last letter that there were "still too many chiefs and not enough indians" and asked for prayer to unite them.
He was really looking forward to competing in the Captain's Cup, do you know this event? He wrote this on the 6th.

DEERS forms are the forms sent to the dependents of a person in BC that allows them to get their military ID and sign up for insurance

Hi Faith. I used to drive through Mojave every other week taking my kids to see their dad in Bear Valley. I live in Newbury Park so am just a couple of hours from you. I am 7 miles from Malibu. Do you ever come out this way? My son, Dan, is also on ship 9 but his div is 219. I don't really know what it all means but anyway that's what is it. Have you received a letter yet? Not the form letter but a real letter from you daughter? Do you live on Edwards AFB? I just read your profile info. When I moved to BVS for a very short time, I tried to get a postal route on base but then I decided to quit my job instead and left the postal service that year.

Nothing for me, either. Wouldn't that be cool if they could get in touch with each other, too. :-) I'm wondering if theyre even allowed to talk to each other yet. I've heard it can be pretty tough at first. I wasn't at Lizzie's swearing-in because she asked me not to go. She felt that she needed to start getting "mentally tough" before arriving at BC and would be all emotional if I was there. Whatever.....She did get someone to take her photo though and that's my profile picture. Her camera came back in the box so I uploaded her photos onto my computer. It was so cool to see all the pictures she took that day since I wasn't there. For sure, we'll look for each other at PIR. It seems like a long way off but it will be here before we know it. Where is Autumn's A school going to be and what is her training going to be in? Lizzie stays in Great Lakes and is in Advanced Electronics and Computer "something." I forget. She had to sign up for 6 years for that field.
Sounds like you have a lot of connections with the service. There's no one in my family who's ever enlisted. So it's all new to me. Anything you can find out would be great. Pass it on!

Faith, I DO know that the ships are their barracks. Other than that, I don't know much. LOL Elizabeth also had all her wisdom teeth but they weren't bothering her, I don't think. After reading the posts on this website about everyone's kid getting theirs removed, I'm wondering if they took hers out, too.
We'll hang in this together. At least we know our girls are in the same barracks, although it's probably a huge place. I'll keep you posted if I get anything today.
