Hi colleen, it was wonderful you got to hear your son sing at easter mass! Im sure your husband was there in spirit! Im sure the kids are missing him, especially if he had never been away? Are they adjusting to the change well? At least you have a video to show him! It is so hard having a loved one gone, not to mention on a holiday! Could not convince my husband to humor me and have an egg hunt. Every year even no the girls are grown we still have an egg hunt, you just use dollar bills to fill the eggs instead of candy, Yes I do have another daughter ashley shes 28 married and living a distance away. I finally posted a pic Paige is on the right and ashley on the left. There as thick as thieves. that pic was taken hours before she left. Im still getting use to the fact shes actually in the navy! after 4 years of college and a good job she gave it all up to live her dream. She wants to be a navy pilot and figured this way her only way it was going to happen! She litreally came home one afternoon last month and told me she had been to the recuriters and was going in the navy, If the recuriter would not have shown up at my house I would not have believed it! So she told me she enlisted and was gone all within a month. Im still trying to wrap my head around it!! I havent even been in her room since she left! Im trying not to make this about my feeling, its about paige living her dream, I just miss her so much she was the breath of fresh air that blew thru the house every day! She is so funny, she makes everyone laugh! I haent laughed since she left. I think everything is worse because she has not called me once. In her letters shes frustrated about it but there is nothing she can do. I know in 11 days Ill see her, cant wait! Im sure you miss your husband and the kids miss the father just as much!! I need to stop wollowing and see the huge sacarfice paige as made! Ill tell you there cannot be on this earth a mother more proud! I admire and look up to her! just wish I had a little of her strength and determination. i cant say enough about how this website has helped me, were all in this together and we all share the same feelings. Just wish they could have been given 1 phone call even a minute of hearing her voice would be all I could ask for!! Cant wait to meet all of you moms wives and families!! 11 days and counting!!
colleen you have a beautiful family!! are the kids enjoying easter?
