Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi, JamieKaye, and welcome to Indiana Moms! I'm the administrator for the group, so if you have any questions, please ask. My son is a Nuke MM serving on the submarine ALABAMA, based out of Bangor, WA. He's been in for five years. (And by the way, I love the back half of your name)!
If you're near Indy (or willling to drive), there's a monthly informal dinner in Avon (on the west side) which meets on third Mondays. Click Oct. 17 on the Events calendar (right-hand column) for those details. From time to time, we also have regional gatherings in various parts of the state.
Jump in with any questions or comments you may have. I think you'll find we're a nice bunch of folks and always willing to lend an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on. Hugs! k.

Welcome aboard!  Come join us on the Indiana group on this website.

You will also want to look into the Boot Camp and Nuke school sites.  There is even, I believe a Nuke GF, Fiances, wives group.

My son is a Nuke MM, sub...has your BF determined whether he wants to go surface or sub.
