Went to my sons PIR on 12/29 and it was great. Watching those doors open up and seeing all those Sailors come marching in is awesome. If you have any questions about PIR please let me know. Hope you had a good visit with your son over Christmas. How is he doing in BC? You only have a couple of more weeks! My son is now in Pensacola, FL and says he really enjoys the sunshine. I guess "A" school is the second step in the journey!
Hi ProudMOmom, I was just thinking about you going to see your son for Christmas and wanted to wish you a very safe trip. I'm sure it will be enjoyable getting to see your son. My son became a Sailor yesterday and I want to tell you that getting the "I'm a Sailor" call is the most awesome feeling ever. It makes all those weeks of boot camp worth it. Have a wonderful Christmas with your son!
Hi ProudMOmom, That's great you get to go see your son at Christmas. Hope you have a safe trip. I'm sure your son will be thrilled to see you. Hope he writes again soon. Remember they are really busy up there and no news is good news. I'm not really much in the Christmas spirit since I don't get to see my son. Actually I can't wait for it to get over because then I'm headed to Great Lakes. I got another letter from my son today and he's still very upbeat and positive. Hope your son has a good experience with BC.
