All Hands Magazine's full length documentary "Making a Sailor": This video follows four recruits through Boot Camp in the spring of 2018 who were assigned to DIV 229, an integrated division, which had PIR on 05/25/2018.
Due to COVID there is no public PIR. The graduations are on Thursday, and the video of the graduation is posted on RTC's FaceBook on Friday at approx 3pm. Please keep in mind that a division may need to complete additional quarantine during training which will delay their graduation.
Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass isno longer needed to drive on to base for parking.
Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.
Hi I am pretty new to this sight and my son is on this same ship. I have had hundreds of questions for my son and the only one that I can't seem to get an answer to is whether or not he is a grad and go.
My son, Cody, called today and said that he had passed battle stations today. He still hadn't found out if he was a grad and go for sure, and he said that he thought that he might be but wasn't sure how long we would get with him.
Hi Ricky, I am not too good with computer stuff, but I think I figured out how to add you as a friend. As I stated earlier, my son is on Ship 13, Division 324. He seems to have good and bad days. The letters he has written home are pretty upbeat (have gotten 5 so far and one phone call). The letters he writes to his girlfriend seem to be more honest and how some days are better than others. I can't wait for bootcamp to be over -but I'm sure he wants it over more than I do.
Hi Ricky 423- I read your profile with your sailor in Ship 13 Div 324- which is the same as Breanna's ( my granddaughter). You are from Oswego and we are in Hannibal. If you would like to talk just invite me as a friend and we will talk. The letters so far from Breanna have been informative- everything has been hard and loud but are geeting easier by the day. We are really looking forward to PIR. Are you planning on attending? Talk again soon. Donna
Hi Ricky, Yes Donna and I recieved a call last week on Thursday. I have also recieved one letter. Sounds like they are doing fine. We have our own group ship 13 Div 324 if you would like to join. Brenda
