For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi Stephanie,
You'll be able to spend time with Madison from after PIR on Friday, around 10:30 until around 21:00/ 8:00pm then she has to be back on Base in enough time to walk to her Ship. Then she'll leave about 0100-0300/1:00am-3:00am in the morning to go to the airport...At least, that was my Sailors schedule. Good News you can meet her there a spent some time until her plane leaves.

Divisions 419 and 420 are brother divisions and train together and will have Battle Stations-21 (BST) together, so look for others with loved ones in either division. Write to your recruit and ask when Battle Stations-21 (BST) will be so you will know when to expect the "I'm a Sailor!" call.

Mrs. LemonElephant post some good sites for you to go over it will let you know what she can take and not take. Stationary is one. a wallet with some cash, stamps, a calling card already activated. ID social, and a very small address book that can fit inside the wallet with addresses and numbers. and a cell phone so she can call you with the I'm here call as they do not have phones for them to use. if you have any other questions please reach out and I or anyone can help.

Sorry I am late sending you this welcome message but I have been away on a vacation. But I am back now and catching up!! I see you recently joined the Moms of Daughters 2 group and I want to welcome you!! We are a close, friendly, supportive group of Moms and look forward to getting to know you and your sailor. Please feel free to jump in and join our conversations on our group page. You can ask any questions you may have, talk freely about your feelings, fears or concerns, or just chat about life. We are all in different phases of our daughters Naval careers - from newbies to those whose daughters have been in for several years - from officer to enlisted!!! We support all our sailor girls and each other as well. Not just during the Bootcamp days but the weeks and months following, as they go off to school, first duty station, or first deployment. Let us support you when you're missing her, lend an ear when you need to vent, and celebrate with you when you want to brag!! Again, Welcome Aboard!!!!!
