Can you lead me in the direction about a Christmas package. Is he allowed to get one? What I can send and what I shouldn't send. Can you also help me about when I should mail a calling card and when can he use it. Our son just started his 3rd wk BC. Thanks so much.
We got our box last week. It was very strange not having a postcard or letter with it. We got our form letter on Wed, Nov. 28. We mailed our first letter to him on the 29th. I went to the facebook page looking for pictures of recruits that arrived on the 19th, but could not find it. There were pictures of graduations. The facility looks amazing. We are very excited for our son. He has been out of H.S. for two years, attending the community college but not having any real direction.
We live near 67th Ave & Thunderbird. I'm trying to find my way around this website.
So far I am only seeing info for shuttles TO the Airporsts when they go on Leave...but not anything about shuttles to TSC GL when they return. They just might have a few that would arrive at certain times for the Sailors...then those that can't do that would have to provide thier own transport. If that were the case, I bet Sarge would coordinate several fares at one time so they could split the cost. He may be preparing for that or/and we could also let him know to be prepared!
I would ask on the TSC GL FB page. They do seem to answer questions there.

Also, Captain Lintner the CO from TSC GLhas been posting on here (what a great guy!) on the GL Group:

Hope that helps!
what airline did you book that you can change flight?
I received the box today...I did shed a few tears, as my five year old daughter told me that sweatshirt smelled like her brother. I have sent a few letters, I am anxiously awaiting any info regarding the PIR Graduation !
Hi Zman's mom! My son's name is Austin (goes by AJ), however now that the "kid in the box" came home he probably will go by Austin. I've been reading your posts.....can you privately email me?
Hi Zman's mom! I was told by my recruiter that my son is on Ship 03/Div039) but I haven't received the PIR letter. He was sent out early on 10/25 to graduate 12/21 - but I guess was bumped to 12/28 as I was told by his recruiter.......When I saw your post I was sooooooooo happy to hear that somebody got a letter!!!!! Where do you live?
