Beth, haven't been for a while thought i would update you. My grandaughter has now been home for over a month. She saw our family doctor who said she definatly did not have burcitis in her hip. they did an mri today. she should find out in the next few days the results. the navy also sent her medical records to another recruit. the hippa laws were created to stop this kind of thing from happening. now someone else has all of her personal info including her social security number. we are trying to get some answers about this situation. hope your son is doing well. keep me informed on his progress.

beth, my granddaughter has been home for 1 week. things are going well. she had a job interview today. wish her luck. also has cobrad tri-care so now will have insurance until we can get her back on our policy. is trying to stay active. she still needs to get a definitive diagnosis from a doctor. we will be taking a much needed vacation in the next 3 weeks. glacier national park. private hot tubs outside each cabin and beautiful scenery. we all need the time to relax and spend time together as a family. hope your son is doing well. best of luck. enjoy your time toghther. i am proud of all our almost sailors.

beth: thank you for commenting back.we feel so helpless right now. we look forward to her return home because it has been so long since we hace seen her. we also know what a great person she is. i am sure your son is also a strong person. the decision to go into the navy proves that. support him with whatever happens. make sure he re code enables him to reenlist. your congressman may be of great help. we e-mailed ours. he is waiting for nikki to write a letter so he can get info from the military about her seperation, and has offerd assistance if she needs it. we pray she will fully recover, and be able to return. she will make a great sailor. jackie

beth, i know what your feeling. my granddaughter was injured 1 week from graduation. was in rcu for six weeks. thought she was healed was close to returning to a div. to graduate when they gave her a proable diagnosis of bursitis in her hip. this diagnosis was made with no tests by a P.A. not even a doctor. she has been on ship 5 for 2 weeks and will be returning home friday. we plan to get a definitive diagnos from a doctor. getting her healthy and doing what ever we can to help her reenlist.she wrote a letter home asking us not to be disappointed in her and saying she felt like a failure. the letter broke my heart.. she is surly not a failure and one of the strongest people i know. her spirit was momentairly broken but she is willing to work to reenlist . your son should not feel he has failed. good luck to him and you.

Beth, I am so sorry for what happened to your son. I made a post under boot camp. I then thought to write you here. I read the post where your son feels like a failure. He is NOT A FAILURE. You don't know how bad I feel for you and your son and I hope you can work things out. I am not quite sure what happened but that is also your personal business. I also work for a hospital and if I were you I would get another opinion from and independent Dr. and maybe even contact your Congressman. I hope everything works out for you and your son and agin HE IS NOT A FAILURE. GOOD LUCK BETH

Beth, also...contact "Hoppi a/k/a Angie" who works over on the GL base. She may be able to direct you. She should be under "members" on this site. I'm so sorry but hope you can fight this.

welcome beth... try not to borrow tomorrow's troubles today. That is so much easier to say than do for us moms. My son called before I got the box.. .he was sooo homesick, He is 6 ft 1 and about 190 lbs, does not cry easily... He was choking up on the phone. I try not to worry. but... I will pray for son of Beth and for you today. Try to have a good one.
