All Hands Magazine's full length documentary "Making a Sailor": This video follows four recruits through Boot Camp in the spring of 2018 who were assigned to DIV 229, an integrated division, which had PIR on 05/25/2018.
**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).
Specific information on this policy change will be provided in the coming days and weeks.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your support.
Mask Mandate has been lifted but you are still required to be vaccinated.
RESUMING LIVE PIR - 8/13/2021
Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass isno longer needed to drive on to base for parking.
Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.
It is hard to believe PIR is almost upon us. The official Meet and Greet for the PIR group will be held at Anastasias from 6 to 8 PM on 11/4. I am unsure how another Meet and Greet got scheduled. Please come to the PIR group and let us know if you will be able to attend. Many people from your division will be there!!
I see you joined the Moms of Daughters 2 group and I want to welcome you!! We are a close, friendly, supportive group of Moms and look forward to getting to know you and your sailor. I see you are new to N4Ms and your daughter is in boot camp now? Please feel free to jump in and join our chats. You can ask any questions you may have, talk freely about your feelings, fears or concerns, or just chat about life. We are all in different phases of our daughters Naval careers and we are always there for each other!!! Again, Welcome Aboard!!!!!
I am so sorry you missed your daughter's call! I know how you must feel. If my son had not tried my husband's phone a second time, we would have missed his too. That is totally heart-wrenching. Hopefully she will realize that nobody was expecting phone calls this early, and it won't get her down. From what my son said, they are too busy to really think about much else. I am really glad someone formed this site, because I really don't know what I would do if there weren't other people out there I could talk to. If you ever need an ear, give me a holler! Hopefully we will get a letter this week. :-)
You will find this site very helpful and full of members who are eager to answer your questions. Browse around the site and check out the forums, groups, blogs, photos, videos, and even the other member profiles!
