I just got my letter from my SR.  I was surprised at his graduation date - it's a week ealier that I would have thought.

That's ok - one week sooner to see my son.

Hi, welcome to Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones). I look forward to sharing this journey with you. I see that you have changed your Username so that it no longer contains your email address and last name; you also need to change the URL to this page. Number 2 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes To Your Profile) (clickable link) will tell you how to fix that. There may be other changes you will want to make as well. Take care and blessings to you and yours.

Hi Diane,  We live in Mankato, about 70 miles south of the twin city area.  My son is in the Nuke Program, and is currently on the USS Eisenhower, which  we have been told is some where in the Arabian Sea.  He is a Machinist Mate.  My email is  lavenjr@gmail.com  and home phone # is 507-387-7814.  Our Group is:   Minnesota Navy Families, If you search under groups.  In February we had lunch at Poor Richards Common house in Bloomington.  We have met at a Chilis in the northern part of cities, and there is a "everybody's" Birthday planned for the 13th  of this month.  I think that is in the Blaine area.  There is more info on that on the group site.  That is nearly a 2 hour drive for me, so not sure if I can make that one.  Hope to meet you soon.  We have at least 6 mom's here in the Mankato area, and have gotten together for lunch a couple times.

My son left on 3/5/13 and I still haven't received my box :(   I feel like I'm in a suspended state of mind.  I'm functioning but I'm holding my breath all at the same time.  Thanks for reaching out to me.. VA is a long way from GL.  I miss him so much...

My son left on 3/5/13 and when I dropped him off the night before to the hotel, he looked like he wanted to cry or throwup or both.  He was better the next day just very stressed, and so was I.  He'll be okay I know but it's hard cause he is my baby.
