OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A little about me:
My husband and I are both 24, we've been married since November 17, 2007 and we've been together since we were 16. He graduates from bootcamp on April 30th and I cannot wait! After that we move to Charleston, SC for his Nuclear school and I will be attending the College of Charleston to finish my bachelors in business. We don't have any children yet but are planning to start a family after he completes nuclear school. The bootcamp experience has been difficult for me considering that in the 8 years we've been together there has not been one day that we haven't at least talked on the phone and we haven't been apart for more than 2 weeks! I know it will all be worth it in the end and April 30th is just around the corner!

Hi Hannah, Yes, his last name starts with an O and he is proud of his Irish heritage... We are from the north of Boston and he has told me he made friends with a few guys who are married. His nickname is O'D. That would be so cool!

Hello and welcome to the site and our PIR group! Please feel free to ask any questions and I will try to find out the answers for you. My husband is also a Nuke and Kristen's husband as well. We are both new to this but we are here if you need us! I hope to meet you at PIR and that we can become friends! Nuke school will be so much easier on us wives if we meet some friends who know what we are going though.
