Hello,

My son is also ship 09 div 323. He (hopefully) will become a Nuke. I got my letter a few days ago. I miss him so much! Do you know how they split them up?

So you are familiar with all the military ins and outs. How nice. I'm just learning. I had an Uncle that was in the Navy in WWII (way before I was born), but that's it so I'm new to learning all of this!  I'm glad he made the videos too. It should make it a bit easier. My daughter in law hasn't gotten the form letter yet, have you? I guess maybe they are waiting for his division to fill up. Hope we hear soon. Will you be going back? Cryptology sounds like a very interesting job. I hope he enjoys it. Have a great weekend!

I guess it Asa is an old family name, but one on another side of the family. He is the son of my first cousin's daughter, so I'm not exactly sure the correct termonology, but related none the less! He is just about a year old.

My SRs son (Jack) will be one on Sept 10 so he is going to miss that :( but he made a video to watch on his birthday so I'm sure I'll be in tears that day! He made other videos for Jack to watch while he's gone. PIR will be great, but too short. My son is planning on being a Yoeman and going to A school in Mississippi. Do you know where Asa will go for A school?

My situation is a little different than most. My son is a little older, 26, and is married so his wife got the phone call. I heard it was only 50 seconds. She will pass on information as she gets it. But I won't get the box or the form letter. In some ways it easier since he's been on his on his own for a long time, but in a way it's harder because I don't expect to get the calls. I hope I get some letters! I love being on this website because I learn so much! I would love to compare when we get more information. We live in Temecula, CA, which is about an hour north of San Diego, inland. We love Washington and have vacationed there in the past! Look forward to sharing BC experiences with you. I have a cousin named Asa that is just about a year old so I will remember your son!
