A school

Posted on November 9, 2011 at 5:47pm 2 Comments

I was wondering what kind of stuff my sailor can take to A school?  Laptop, Ipods, books, etc.  Christmas is right around the corner and my son leaves Jan 5 for boot camp. I was thinking about getting him some stuff he could take to A school (knowing he can't take anything to boot).  Help?

My son said he would be in Chicago for a week on hold til he went to Groton, then it was just a few days. He ended up 2am Saturday morning at Ohare. Once in Groton he was only on hold for a little over a week. He had a month in ACU (awaiting class up) after BESS. AA gives parents passes to wait with your sailor at his gate prior to flying out.

Thanks so much, Jackie.  I had been told that 079/080 go the same night, which can't be true.  077/078 can go with 075/076, but not 079/080. (out of order)  Hoping that more let me know so we can figure this out.  075/076 should be first to go.

Jackie:  Had to delete your BattleStations post.  We can' post dates for BS on this site, but you can post that you have received a date and offer to have others private message you for it.  Barby had responded that you can't post dates, but when I deleted your post, it took hers too.  That date sounds like it is correct from past BattleStations dates.  Looks like the PIR group will do them over 3 nights, possibly 4.
