I am so very sorry. It is awful for the families waiting to see if they are going to PIR or not, hard for your SR who has waited so long to become a sailor and see family. The PAO most likely will know nothing more today. If he didn't pass yesterday, he won't try again until tomorrow morning. I'm sorry some of the staff is not helpful...some are very helpful, others aren't. They can only go on the info they receive from the RDCs on who passed or not though. Since there was no update registered for him, then he most likely didn't pass yesterday. Hang in there....I know you are waiting until "last minute" and that is hard, but it is so worth it when you get there! Hoping tomorrow is HIS DAY!
You can call Public Affairs this afternoon....after 2 pm. They hopefully can tell you if his status has changed. 847 688 2405
Hope he got it done! Not sure what time they do this. But I would assume this morning? Just not sure and it may vary.
Yes, it does sound like he is in FIT division. His division does BattleStations tonight, so that is why he was moved. He will get to try again in the morning and then again Wed if he needs another chance. If he doesn't pass by Wed, he will not PIR on Friday. If he does pass the float, he will go through BattleStations with another PIR group....and will be at PIR on Friday. If he doesn't pass, he will stay in FIT until he does pass it. Then he will do BattleStations and go straight to A School, no PIR. Hoping that you get a call from him this week with good news!
"No news is good news!" I truly believe that you will have a Sailor next week.
