Hi, like I said,it is taking me awhile to figure this out...didn't men to not respond promptly...Andrew went in as an AD? I think that is right, he will be training to work on Helicopter propulsion engines, or Jet engines? AD I believe is what they refer to if you are in the Navy Air Corp. He also has his name in for rescue swimming! He has already passed the necessary physical tests to qualify for this job! Swimming, running, push ups, pull ups etc. I think there name goes into a pool of other sailors who want to do special forces, but still not actually sure how all of this works! I know he will be going to Pensicola FL for A school after PIR. His girlfriend wants to visit him there, I was told that would be allowed...I hope so! Still no mail as of yesterday

Thanks so much!  I emailed the callsforrecruits and they sent me 12 of the calling card numbers within an hour.  That's pretty awesome that they are providing that service for recruits.  Stamps are the only thing I didn't get to buy but I'll stop at Shoprite and get them after Church tomorrow.  Such an emotional day, whew!!!

Hang in there!  This is a really tough day and tomorrow and Monday will be even tougher.  Christie just went to visit a few friends and say goodbye, she'll only be gone a couple hours and then will be with us the rest of the day.  Even so, I started crying when she left.  Wow, I remember you said Ash is a twin and I was thinking that this is probably going to be really hard for both of them.  Do you know what they are supposed to bring.  Her recruiter basically said bring yourself, license, direct deposit form.  She just signed up a few weeks ago so she didn't get to go to all the DEP classes or get much information.  Should they bring writing paper, envelopes, stapes....  Not sure...   My name is Lisette.  I'll look you up on facebook in a few minutes.

How are you holding up?  One day and counting.  I'm not unhappy, but I've been on the verge of tears all day.  I am going to miss her so much.  She is my youngest child and only girl.

Hmm... I better have her check with the recruiter. He took my DL# and my car license plate number.  Hopefully we won't have a problem getting on base.  What a small world Christie told me that she friended Ash on Facebook and that they had mutual friends from Delanco.  Her A school is right at Great Lakes.  Her rate is IC. Where is your daughter's A school going to be?  I know what you mean I am cherishing every moment too. This week is flying past so fast, Sunday will be here in a blink.  I just hope I don't cry too hard when they're leaving on the bus Monday.  I don't want to upset Christie and make it harder for her to leave.  I had'nt thought about going to the airport and didn't know we could. Something else to think about.

Were doing the same.  Going to Cherry Hill Sunday for dinner.  But I was planning to drive to MEPS on my own Monday morning.  My daughter's recruiter told her that we should be there about 10 a.m.  but the bus won't leave until around noon.
