missing my son

I didn't get a call yesterday from my oldest son.  I hope he wasn't too sad on Christmas.  I cant wait until 1-28-11 to see him at his PIR.  My youngest son leaves tomorrow for his A school in Pensacola, it was great having him home for a few days. But its going to be so sad with both if my son's gone. I am so ready for all this basic training to be over!!!!

no letter ):

no letters today....I was hoping to get at least one from one of my son's.
But hopefully I will get them tomorrow. I am getting so excited about seeing J on 12-17, we are almost finished with this chapter.
Its so hard not getting to talk to him everyday. But I am still so proud of him! I feel so sad for my oldest son, he will have to stay in GL without his family for Christmas):

received J's box yesterday waiting on my first letter w/PIR date

These past few weeks have been very emotional. My youngest son is almost done with his bc, his PIR is 12-17, we are counting down the days now. My oldest son J left for bc on Nov23, so this was our 1st Thanksgiving without the whole family together. I had surgery on my hand this past Monday and its been hard not being able to use my right hand. I did type a letter to both my boys yesterday w/my left hand. I miss them both so much. It won't be much longer and the hardest part will be behind us.… Continue

I didn't get a letter either :(  One of the dads from Ship 4 Div 019 said he got a call yesterday and that the Battle Station is going to be on Monday. I haven't heard anything for over a week now. I'm so stressed wishing I could hear something, a phone call, a letter, anything. But on the bright side, next week we can "SEE AND TOUCH" them in person.

Sorry it's taken me 5 days to reply! I hope your son is feeling netter by now. I got a letter from my son and he said he had pink eye, yuk. Aren't you getting excited?? I cant believe its just 9 days now. When he left it seemed like it would take forever. Have you printed out your gate pass yet? I printed mine out today. We are planning on taking the shuttle from the hotel, but i want it just in case. What hotel are you staying at? Are you going to the Meet and Greet at the Ramada on the 16th? Susan

I am also getting very excited! I am anxious this week. I think they are going through a lot. I did get a call from my son on Thursday but that seems like a lifetime ago! His girlfriend got a letter today and he said he has pink eye:( We are driving to Chicago. My father-in-law lives in Cincinnati so we are stopping there since it is halfway for us. Are you flying or driving? When does your other son graduate? I can't imagine having 2 in at the same time. My heart goes out to you and what your going through. Susan
