OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Follow this link for OPSEC Guidelines:

Hi---im pretty sure i will be attending BESS graduation. I probably wont visit my son until then (unless he wants us too). It was expensive to go to Bootcamp PIR, so i may have to do some saving. My son has been in Groton since Feb. 9th, but i think he is just getting underway with his training. He had a test today that i know he was  little nervous about, but i think the big ones are in a few weeks (escape and pressure tests)..just another reason for me to NOT  ! I dont know anything about the graduation for BESS, and am hoping to find some info on the site before we go up....hope to talk to you---JAN
