California is a nice place to be stationed!!! Wow three other countries, YIKES .... That is true you going through it with your son is WAY different than with your cousin.. We all received the call when he got there then we all received calls on the 27th. Then i got another call a few days later, but he was really looking for me to 2 way in his girlfriend!!! then a call last week about his bank info. He sounded good and his letters have been positive. I was so nervous when he left but i think it was the right time for him!! I have been divorced for years also and just remarried last year. I will try the facebook group and see what happens! Thank you

See how bad is that i didn't even know the true name of the position :( That is great that you have a cousin and especially in this position, what a great insight!! What has his life been like doing this job? Do they travel all over? Do they go on ships for months? I am so curious HAHA..My son is my oldest, also have a daughter in her freshmen year of college and then a younger daughter in 10th grade. we received 4 calls since he arrived there. One was lastThursday but it was for banking information but at least i could talk for 2 minutes.. have you received any calls? How do you connect to the Facebook group? Are you somewhat calmer than the rest of us as your cousin has gone through this??

It's weird my son didn't mention any names in his letters just that he has met a few "good" guys!!! What is your son going to A school for? The job my son was assigned was a body guard to a priest..WHOLE new world for him!!!! I'm curious as to what it is all about. I read about where they are going in South Carolina but there is so much information. it is overwhelming. Yes we are going to Sarge's, how about you? Where are you staying? We are staying at the Spring Hill Suites. Did your son mention anything about what airport he is flying out of? We are flying in and out of O'Hare i am praying that is where they are? Is this your first child in the service?
