dressing for PIR

Posted on December 26, 2013 at 1:10pm 11 Comments

My sons PIR is 1-10-14 I keep hearing dress warm. I wondered how we should dress for inside..are we talking casual (jeans and nice shirt) or a little dressy (dress pants) or real dressed us (dress, suit..etc..)  Also for the sarge's meet and greet what is appropriate dress?

Hi!  My son graduated from bootcamp in November.  We dressed up somewhat for Sarge's, but did wear jeans.  My daughters and I wore dress pants and sweaters for the graduation, and my husband wore dress pants and a nice sweater too.  We saw people who had jeans on also, but it seems like most had dress pants.

My son is up there now for training and I know he complains all the time about how cold it is up there.  We are from Illinois also, so he should be used to it, but I think off the lake makes it worse.  I bet you are counting these days down until you see your SR.  Best Wishes!!

Since you have an SR at the RTC, you can change "Waiting to leave for Boot Camp" above to "Enlisted." I would like to invite you to join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) there. Take care and blessings to you and yours.

Hi momma1992.  I understand about the bc and holidays this year.  It's going to be a challenge for both of us.  We both have raised sons that are strong enough to do what they are going to do.  So we must be pretty strong ourselves, they had to have gotten it from us.

Have a great Mothers Day tomorrow!  :)
