All Hands Magazine's mini-documentary series "Making a Sailor": These six videos follow four recruits through Boot Camp in the spring of 2018 who were assigned to DIV 229, an integrated division, which had PIR on 05/25/2018.
MsAnna, I accept you as a friend, you are somewhat close to me. My in-laws lin live in Apple Valley. Are you going to the Meet and Greet? Did you get a scarf? What Division is your daughter in?
Thank you for the offer to help with my sons friend but I don't think you will be able to help. He fly's into O'Hare at midnight, unless you want to go get him at that time. He is just a young kid and I do not want him to spend a lot of money on taxi or shuttle service, it is enough that he is coming to Chicago for my son. He was Navy, he just got back from Afganistan in November as a Navy prison gaurd and then he got out of the Navy in December so he understand what our SR's are going through. I think it is great that he is just coming to support him so I want to help save hime money. Looks like I am going to be getting up and driving into Chicago at midnight, but thankyou for the offer.
Thank you for excepting my request. OMG I would not miss his graduation for the world!! I got a great package deal through Cheap Tickets.com. I am counting days too. Seems like the closer it gets the longer it takes!!
msanna71...My son is Ship 9, Div 087. He left on Jan. 17. So excited for you that you received your letter--I'm still waiting:( I hope my son's PIR is 3/9. This waiting thing is killing me. All the best to you and your daughter. ...Robin
