Just reading my last post. What the hell is qriting? That's what I get for trying to answer from my Iphone! LOL I can't believe you did not get a letter yet! Watch you will be the first to get a call. I know how frustrating it is not to hear. I booked my flight, hotel and car already. We are getting in on Wed 4/4. When are you planning on getting there. Maybe we could meet up for lunch or dinner?
Hang in there. I can't believe you didn't get a letter yet. I was hoping for a phone call but it did not happen. I sounds like he still hadn't gotten our letters which makes me feel bad. He asked that we write back when we get his letter so he knows we for it. It broke my heart. He has to know we are qriting him!
Hi, Yes I know where Modesto is...I used to live in Stockton but I'm in Sacramento now. Not too far. I see you have a month to go for PIR! Exciting! My son left to Boot camp 4/5/2011, so it will be a year for me near your PIR time. So I have some experience with all this stuff...so feel free to ask me anything. How are you doing with little or no communication with your daughter? You should be receiving letters by now?
Thank you for the friend request. Yes, you are in my Moms of Daughters group and I am so glad you are with us. I'm glad to see you commenting on the group page. I haven't posted on there today but I read it everyday!!!
I've been to Modesto before. I was stationed at North Island in San Diego for 3 years and then after getting married to my sweet hubby (who was also in the Navy) we stayed in SD for a few more years!! I had a half sister living in Modesto and went to visit her. We've lost contact over the years, so I don't know where she is now!!! I'm in Waukegan right now so really just right around the corner from Great Lakes!!!! Let me know if there is anything I can help you with!!
I see you recently joined the Moms of Daughters 2 group and I want to welcome you!!! We are a friendly caring group of moms and are always willing to listen, share and help each other whenever or wherever we can. Please feel free to join our chats, we love talking about everything from work, family, weather - whatever. Plus the joyful and anxiety filled journey of being a Navy Mom!!! We look forward to learning about you and your sailor!!! Again, Welcome Aboard!!
