OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Follow this link for OPSEC Guidelines:

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

RTC Graduation

**UPDATE 8/25/2022 - MASK MANDATE IS LIFTED.  Vaccinations still required.

**UPDATE 11/10/22 PIR - Vaccinations no longer required.

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Hi~  Thanks so much for messaging me.  I;m still not sure how this works and only have time late evenings to figure it out.  My name is Lisa Hebert and my son is Ashton Hebert but goes by AJ.  What is yours and your family name?  Will your child be staying in GL for A school?  My husband and I plan to go to Sarg's meet and greet as well as PIR.  It would be great to introduce ourselves.  I'm trying to figure out how to instant message to get the BS date and will let you know if I found out.  Please do the same for me.  Thansks!!

Hi, you still need to make change number 2 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes To Your Profile) (clickable link) to remove your last name from the URL above.

I'm originally from Hoxie, KS, and my husband is from McPherson, KS.  His grandfather lived in Overland Park, so I think we've been through Garnett.  When is your son's PIR date?  Is it August 9th?

Hi, welcome to Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones). I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Your Username appears to contain your last name; if so, you should change that and the URL to this page. Numbers 1 and 2 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes To Your Profile) (clickable link) will tell you how to fix both. There may be other changes you will want to make as well, such as number 3. Join the group, DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in June, to connect with others with loved ones who left the same day and may have PIR together. Take care and blessings to you and yours.
