PattyM,

Just saw your post on Moms Who Served and I want to chat with you.  One of my daughters is in an officer program and will be training for NFO next summer/fall after she graduates from U of Akron this coming spring.  I'd like to hear about your daughter's experiences, training, and what she does.  I have another daughter who just finished her time in the Navy and joins her Dad and I as a veteran!!  Also have a son serving on a second enlistment.  He was a veteran for all of about 8 months and then went back in!!!  I also have a group called Moms of Daughters 2 that you might want to come check out!  Would love to hear from you!!

Hi Pflute- your daughter will love Whidbey. This is my son's second assignment there. He is now involved in training for the new plane the Growler, so is assigned to the school, and not a squadron.

hey pflute, my son James is up at Whidbey now on TAD to help out and probably get things started for the new Tactics school. I think that they sure do need people as well as equipment. There are not that many people who are trained on the Growler-I think they will be looking to change that in the near future.maybe our kids will run into each other at some point.
