Staying connected

Posted on November 20, 2011 at 3:09pm 0 Comments

I check my email and face book page multiple times a day. I feel disappointment when there is no activity, but it makes my day when someone has posted. I look forward to whatever someone has wrote no matter what the subject is. Anything makes me feel that much closer to my SR! I just want to take this time to say thank you to everyone for their sharing, you have made my transition into being a Navy mom much easier :-)

Under three weeks!

I didn't get a letter this week, but that's ok. I figure no news is good news. We are on the down hill slide with BC. When my SR left I thought it would take forever to feel this way. I can't wait to leave for PIR, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, I hope my SR (and yours) can too. Go 02/903!!

2nd letter

I enjoyed the letter I received today. My SR wrote 4 different days on it before he mailed it so I could really see his mood improve! He wrote that he had received my mail and that it was great to get. I still miss him alot, but it helps to see his little hand writing.

I now have to help my husband shovel the snow :-(

Posted on November 1, 2011 at 1:39am 3 Comments

Shoveling snow has never been a favorite activity of mine, so when my son was old enough and interested enough to go out and help dad I was more than happy to let him. Now with him off to do his own thing I am back out there. Yesterday I was helping my husband with the first snow fall of the year and we were both missing our son big time for two totally different but similar reasons. I, for having this chore back and my husband for having to put up with my way of shoveling (he and our son had a… Continue

It's sure is an awesome feeling to get these letters.  My SR's letter was short and sweet as well, but I've already read it over and over and over again so it seems longer than what it really is.  We're not staying at the Ramada, but I'm hoping we can make it to the M&G.  We'll be there around 1pm on Thursday, so we should have plenty of time to get settled and find the Ramada.  Looking forward to meeting you and watching our SRs at PIR.

Airecrewman . . . that sounds like an awesome job.  And you live in Alaska.  My husband and I have always wanted to take a cruise there.  Maybe someday.  Thanks for the kind words for my SR.  You live so far away, will you be able to attend PIR?  I hope so.  It would be awesome to meet you in person, along with everyone else in this group.  This site has been a God-send.  :O)
