OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A little about me:
I am so proud of my son for choosing the Navy to enrich is life and education. I just want to be certain that he is getting the best opportunity available to him. I am a small town girl that owns my own photography business and I do well and love my life. I just want more for my children. I want them to obtain a good education and have opportunities I never had.
I am here to support my

Was proud and encouraged it
The Navy offers opportunities that...
Not all recruiters are well informed or highly educated. I need to speak to someone about my concerns for my sons future. I feel there are things not being offered to him, that should be.

Hi there!  I talked to 'jennsmom' yesterday and she still hadn't hear information from her SR as to where she is going to after Basic.  Go ahead and "friend" her - she may know more today then yesterday.  Did your son play baseball and is was he a "catcher"?  I'm still trying to pinpoint who "Texas belongs to".  It's getting close now!! Can't wai to meet everyone at the Meet & Greet!

Hello!  I used to have a hard time at first on this site but now I just go to "My Page" and check out the comments on there (i.e., Meet & Greet and TG43 PIR 09/09/11.  My SR is actually in 03/300 but I have a friend who's SR is 298 and she is on N4M.  Exciting that it is getting soooo close.  Where is your son going after Bootcamp? And does he happen to go by the nickname "Texas" there?
