Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Nadie habla español. Aki y la verdad me sigo sintiendo perdida,mi hija acaba de pasar la hell week y no se como le fue,ya casi se gradúa para el 12 de oct,si dios kiere,pk está lastimada de un pie y no kiere decirlo para no atrasarse pero como Consecuencia de eso no ha podido pasar el test de la milla y media en el tiempo k ellos le piden,ella me llamó llorando,está muy cansada y estresada,yo me mantengo fuerte y le doy ánimos pero la verdad estoy desesperada,se graduara o no?dios como kisiera saber k lo de su pie no es grave,y k si no se gradúa en fecha con su división no se frustara

Claro k me ayuda mucho todo lo k me dices,muchas gracia yo ya estoy rebisando los paketes y viéndolo precios,también kiero llegar allá el jueves para estar a tiempo,mi hija tambien se keda allá para la escuela,seguir tu consejos de ir sin maquillaje,jajaja,se k lloraré desde k ponga un pie en la base.

hola gracias por contestarme,y por tus palabras,mi hija ya va a ser un mes k esta ahi,ya me hizo su primer llamaada,super felz cuando la escuche,aunke muy corta la llamada ,senti un gran alivio escucharla.

la senti cansada,y por un momento a punto de kebrarse,pero,trate de darle animos,ella nunca habia salido de casa,ni se habia sometido a un entrenamiento tan fuerte y riguroso,asi k,es duro para ella,lose.

fue su decicion entrar al navy,y yo la apoye y la apoyare siempre,aunke como madre no logro desprenderme de ese sentimiento de preocupacion,tension,pendiente,de k este realmente bien,y no lo k ella me dice.

kisiera saber si el dia de la graduacion podemos estar con ella todo el dia,y elfin de semana tambien,si les dan permiso ,o no,si puedo comprar el video alla y cuanto cuesta,ojala puedas ayudarme,con eso.

he leido a muchas mamas y coincidimos en muchos sentimientos,ya no siento k estoy siendo algo exagerada al no dejar de pensar ni un seg. en mi princesa.

estoy super orgullosa de ella,y ruego a dios k se gradue sin problemas,y gracias por este sitio k tanto nos ayuda

Muchas gracias, por la info. Yo estoy todo el tiempo buscando informacion y encontre un link del boot camp, q sacan fotos a los,reclutas en plenos entreanamientos y las postean para q la familia puedan ver a los chikos. Es normal q sienta toda esta angustia pero se q es x nuestro bien.

I hope you get all the information here you are looking for.  Please stop by the Survival Guide for New Moms for some of the info to start with.  
If you have a new Recruit and need phone cards for them please check out Calls for Recruits.org and get them for FREE.  I feel that the Family, Loved Ones, nor the Men and Women of our Armed Forces should have to pay for phone calls from Boot Camp.  The link above will take you to the website to send the email for the FREE phone cards if you need them.  Please spread the word if you know of anyone who can use this great service!!!
