DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

THE BOX

Yesterday, I received the box that had all her belongings in it. But it also had all the things that were on the list for my daughter to take. We bought a lot of stuff that was on that list including a swimsuit. Know how hard it is to find one of those this time of year? Why did they send all that stuff back? It was terrible getting the clothes that she had on. I miss her so bad!!

She Shipped Out Yesterday...

My baby shipped out yesterday! What an experience! I went to the same hotel, stayed in a room down the hall. I took her out to eat the night before. The next morning, I went to the MEPS station and hung around while she went through the processing then I was able to record the 'swearing in'. Then, being the clingy mom I am, I couldn't stop there. Daughter is leaving next week for Basic!

My daughter is leaving next week for Great Lakes for Basic! I am so very proud of her but at the same time I am so scared. I know she can do everything she sets her mind to but the mom in me will worry. I know that God will be with her and protect her. I am a wreck and I am finding it hard to let her go. I want to buy a plane ticket for myself and be with her the whole way and I know I can't. I love her so much and miss her already!
