One weeek!!

One week until I get to go see my wonderful daughter!! My birthday present to myself!! Can not wait. She is still doing great at A-School, her grade point average is 95. She loves learning about all the heavy duty equipment and has made several friends. If she phases up to phase 3 she will get an overnight chit and be able to spend the night at the hotel with me and her dad. That would be awesome. I miss seeing her on a daily basis. I even told my husband that I even miss the mood swings she…

Graduation Dinner after Boot Camp?

This is my first time on this site. My daughter graduates 3-19-10 from boot camp. We have heard rumours about a dinner for parents. What day of the week is a dinner usually held on? Is this for parents only? Is the limit 4 people again? What time should we plan on and what is the dress code for all events?

Thank you for any advice.

Just Offering a Shout Out!

I was going to type the "shout out" in caps but remembered that is against the TOS LOL

So, my shout out is to all the Moms here who have raised such selfless kids that they went off and joined the Armed Forces.

Some of us are new to our child being in the Navy--like myself--while others have the added grey hairs from worrying about their child. I hope each and everyone of you are comforted in some way today by knowing our kids are following their…

Whidbey NAS information

My daughter just eloped, and her husbands orders are to Whidbey WA. We live in Florida. Can someone tell me what Whidbey is like, and how I can help them (and us) both with this transition. I have never blogged before, and am very nervous about doing everything correctly.

Help Tiger Cruise

Im going on a tiger cruise next month and my son is telling me that I cant come early to sight see , he says I must come in on one of the days that the chaplin can pick me up at the airport. I need to know if this is correct, or can I get my own transportation and meet the ship on the day it is leaving?

Love getting texts and calls from my daughter!

I love getting random texts from Danielle. I also love getting the random calls too! She called a couple of times last night. One to see how my day went and to tell me she got a 100% on a test on loaders yesterday. She was all excited. The other call was to find out what movie her and her friend was watching because she could not remember the name. Of all movies it was Sixteen Candles! Too funny! I also love being able to talk to her on skype. I have gotten to meet a few of her friends while…
