I have been looking at the site and the comments for motels for graduation in July. One of them said the location was a bit scary- I don't want to spend a fortune and since I will have my youngest with me- I would like to have something with a pool- I would like to be closer to the base. Anyone have suggestions- where to stay or where not to stay! Thank you!

My daughter is going to finish boot camp May 30th. I am so excited that I can see her in just a few more days and I'm also very sad to think it will only be for a few hours. Then she'll be off to San Antonio the next day. I haven't heard from her for a month. I really thought they might let her get a phone call out on Mother's Day but nope. I know they are suppose to let her call before PIR to make sure of who will be coming but I also heard from her that her group can make a phone call…

My son got the call he was waiting for today. He was selected for pilot, a dream come true for him. We were walking across the University campus taking a few last photos when it happened, so we were together. He just graduated Saturday. Summa Cum Laude, Honors College. I am so proud of him. He could have done anything he wanted. This is what he wants. Now he has a month of study abroad in Chile left before OCS. I am so happy he will spend the month of June with us at home before all of this…
