My son is leaving for bootcamp on June 25th. When he signed up last year, it seemed like it was so far away it would never get here. I am so proud of him and the choices he's made. While I'm excited for him, I am also worried. As I'm sure most moms are. If he's at all nervous, he's hiding it very well. Now that the ship date is almost here, my anxiety levels are on the rise. I hope everything goes well for this first experience of…
ContinueHi Everyone, just wanted to know if anyone knows what time the ships leave on deployment day. I am trying to know for airlines tickets, I have to be there when he leaves so this is so important for me to know. I hope all our children are doing well & that God watches over them all.

Been a while since I have posted on here but I am always reading the blogs lol. Life, family situations has kept me busy not to mention spending some time with my son before he leaves for Japan. He will be gone for 2 years - which seems like an eternity! lol
I am very happy for him in that he is getting to explore the world and pursue a better life for himself, but yet sad that he will be so far away......all I can say is thank God for Skype, email and lots of phone calls!…

What a last few weeks it has been, Our Triplets are High School Graduates and Our Future Sailor is one step closer to Boot Camp, As each day comes and goes I am alttle more mindful of the moments and days we wont have again, simple conversations about the future sometimes bring me to tears, With Jordan being the first to leave the nest in just 3 short months his brothers are calling dibs on things that he wont use anymore and who will take his room when he is gone, I just hold my breathe and…

Well....she turned 19 today and I never dreamed that 19 years ago I would be giving birth to a future sailor!! I have been so happy for her and so proud of her but as time is getting closer to her leaving in August, my emotions are starting to run rampant. I know she will do well, she is a very strong, level headed young lady.....but.....just never really thought about one of my girls being gone....for extended periods of time....where I could not just jump in my truck to see them!!! Happy…
