For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Theres 2 counters that I have ticking the one to your PIR date and the other that I started when you called me at the airport saying that your flight was leaving at 11:30 AM on September 10th so far its been 22 days 9 hours 33 minutes and 55 seconds.....call me crazy for keeping such a close tab on that time but I can't wait to stop that timer! I AM PROUD TO SAY & REPORT THAT MY SON HAS SUCCESSFULLY CROSSED OVER FROM RECRUIT TO SAILOR! WE JUST CAME BACK FROM GREAT LAKES ON SEPT 20. IT WAS THE HAPPIEST EXPERIENCE THAT OUR FAMILY HAD!

We had 3 months before he was scheduled to leave for boot camp. I planned on making the most of the time, every precious day. I took him and his sister to a Jimmy Buffett concert. We went to a cubs baseball game. Lots of family dinners and one on one time together. Making good memories. In spite of all that... its incredibly hard. The time flew by!

Hi All, My daughter was seped but received a code that allows her to re enlist. Her DD214 is on its way to meps now, to determine what waivers are needed. Any Advise would be appreciated. Really nervous and excited!
