In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Blessed

I am one of the lucky ones who has my son home today the day after Thanksgiving.  I found out I will have him for Christmas.  We did not have him last year as he went to boot camp on Dec 1.   I know there will be more holidays without him so feeling grateful for the ones I have.

Hope everyone had a great holiday.

Need information(Japan)

My husband is stationed in Japan and me and my 9 month old daughter are

Suppose to be joining him. I have a cat and a dog and was wonder what would the travel cost be for them to get to Japan. My dog is 76 pounds and my cat is 15 or so. I need to know what to do to get my dog there, and if he would be able to live with us. Also the best way to have him travel that far. I looked it up and from Missouri to Japan is a 14 hour flight. Any information will help, I just really don't want to… Continue

Worried but I'm being patient..

Hello guys, currently my boyfriend is in A-school at Fort Sam Houston in Colorado. I thought boot camp was hard without him, but this seems even harder. Now that he gets to interact and communicate with other sailors. he has less time for me. I don't want to seem selfish because I know he has a very important job now and I know he has priorities that do go ahead of me. But on the weekends when he has liberty he hardly talks to me, I just don't know if this is normal. I just want the honest…

Waiting to hear

My girl went to boot camp on Nov. 14. I have had 1 phone call, and she was a mess. I have had no letter yet, not even the formal one that gives details about graduation. We didn't even get a call on Thanksgiving. I went to Navy boot camp 25 years ago, so I know what she's going through...I remember the utter exhaustion and bitter loneliness. I remember 80 other girls who liked and hated me alternately, depending on what time of the month it was. I just wish I knew how she is doing.

Thanksgiving Day

Finally heard my baby girls voice for the first time. I was so happy to hear voice I was so thrilled to talk with her. It has been a long adventure not knowing what was going n with my baby. She sounded fine she sounded good she was happy refreshed and energetic. I knew they would treat her well and she is doing awesome and to my surprise she told me she was happy that she went. She is having a wonderful time. I couldn't ask for more. Thank you US Navy.

Thank you

I just wanted to say thank you to all the wonderful moms (and dads) on here who have been so supportive.  I have been having a REALLY hard time separating from my son, and now he is being sent home from boot camp because apparently he is having a hard time separating from me (God, I feel horrible about that!)  Everyone has been really nice and supportive, and it has meant a lot to me!  Continue to be nice to each other every day.  It doesn't cost anything.

Love to all, and…

Waiting...

Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord's coming.  See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains.

First Thanksgiving as a Navy Family

This year we will be celebrating our first Thanksgiving as a Navy family. We are one of the very blessed families as our Sailor gets to come home for both Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. In fact, we are extra blessed in that we get to host a Sailor that is in school with our's.

This Friday will also be my Sailor's 19th…

joke pages

my son is almost done with bootcamp and I have been sending him jokes, trivia and funny lists. He has really enjoyed them and from what he said I am pretty sure he is sharing them with the other guys. I started writing them out long hand but then i found copy and past to be more effective. Most of these are several pages, I printed them front and back. I also split some of them up among him and his friends. I tried to get whole stories or lists on one page but some of them carry over. Just…
