He's finally gotten his orders!

My son has finally gotten his orders to his next command. After being in Pensacola since Feb he's finally coming home for 2 weeks and then off to another phase of his journey, Jacksonville Fl, which is what he wanted. I am so relieved that he not only got what he wanted, but also that he got shore duty for the next 2 years. I know after that he'll be shipped out, but at least I have more time to get used to the idea. Anyway, congrats Micah! I love you!!!!

Orders Pretty Please?

This starts the 3rd week of waiting for written orders. I'm crossing my fingers that they will come soon because I am sooooo beyond ready to see my sailor! I'm attempting to be patient because I know that he is sooo ready for orders and to be here. Hoping that week 3 will be the charm but I guess we will see what happens.

Who left the water on?

I am not sure it is humanly possible to cry this much in a 24 hour period. I woke up crying early this morning, cried randomly all day long, and am still crying at 23:56!

As I poured my son milk for his cereal; cried.

As I stalked the mail lady; cried.

As I read my husband's comments on his form letter; cried...and cried...and cried.

As I spoke to the electric co. to find out what time the power would return to our block; cried, it was ONLY 103 degrees.

As…

LOOKING FOR...

Just was wondering if there was anyone on this site with a sailor on the USS RENTZ? Would love to get in touch with you. I got a group started but haven't found anyone here yet. I realize the ship is only a frigate but there are sailors on it with families. Pass the word along!

It's really rough with you leaving and Dad working out of town during the week...and your big sister… Continue

Site Is Experiencing Technical Difficulties

Hi everyone,

Yesterday morning (Thursday), Ning had a major outage as some of you may have noticed. The problems were isolated and one by one were fixed, however email notifications are still in the testing stages. Please be patient and know that Ning is working non-stop to get these issues resolved.

Thank you!

Rocky Road

On day two of being a Navy Wife I sit before the endless information on N4M's with my giant bowl of Rocky Road ice cream. Ok, so it's my second bowl of the day, and how fitting. I have just begun my walk down this rocky road of disconnection between me and my very best friend, my husband. I am new to this site and can figure that many stories have been told, and no matter how different they sometimes are, they are mostly the same.…
