Cousin in Iraq - Scott's Birthday!!

Hey guys!! Today was my (distant) cousin's birthday who is in Iraq. I asked y'all to send him a card and got MANY responses!! I hope I got his address to everyone who asked. (Gustav and Ike did not help much). I did not tell his mom what kind of response I was getting on here - I wanted them to be surprised.

Well, his mom emailed me today and here is her reply:

Scott called on Sunday, he said Mom what have you done?" He said he has received at least 50 birthday cards. I… Continue

Inner Strength

If you can start the day without caffeine,

If you can always be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains,

If you can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles,

If you can eat the same food every day and be grateful for it,

If you can understand when your loved ones are too busy to give you any time,

If you can take criticism and blame without resentment

If you can ignore a friend's limited education and never correct… Continue

I Believe

Another neat thing that was emailed to me and I wanted to share with y'all!!

Birth Certificate shows that we were born

A Death Certificate shows that we died

Pictures show that we lived!

Have a seat . . Relax . . . And read this slowly.

I Believe...

That just because two people argue,

it doesn't mean they don't love each other.

And just because they don't argue,

it doesn't mean they do love each other.

When Your Hut's on Fire...

The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island.

He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him.

Every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming.. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements, and to store his few possessions. One day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, with smoke rolling up to the sky. He felt the worst had… Continue

Meaning of Flag Draped Coffin

Another interesting item that was emailed to me and I thought I would share.

All Americans should be given this lesson. Those who think that America is an arrogant nation should really reconsider that thought. Our founding fathers used GOD's word and teachings to establish our Great Nation and I think it's high time Americans get re-educated about this Nation's history. Pass it along and be proud of the country we live in and even more proud of those who serve to protect our "GOD… Continue

ONE MINUTE EACH NIGHT...

This was emailed to me and I thought I would share it with my praying friends on here.

ONE MINUTE EACH NIGHT....

This is the scariest election We as Christians have ever faced.

From the looks of the polls, the Christians aren't voting Christian

values. We all need to be on our knees.

Do you believe we can take God at His word?

Call upon His name, then stand back and watch His wonders to behold.

His scripture gives us, as Christians, ownership… Continue

Another Inspirational Picture

I hope the picture will go through for you - of this Army soldier in Iraq with his tiny 'plot' of grass in front of his tent. It's heartwarming! Here is a soldier stationed in Iraq, stationed in a big sand box. He asked his wife to send him dirt (U.S. soil),! fertilizer, and some grass seed so that he can have the sweet aroma, and feel the grass grow beneath his feet. When the men of the squadron have a mission that they are going on, they take turns walking through the grass and the American… Continue
