Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I was super excited to see a letter from my brother in the mail today!! It was soo nice to hear from him.. eases my mind a bit. Sounds like he's doing pretty good and is staying optimistic. My brother's packet of info came in the mail over the weekend. Anyone else have a family member on ship 04; div 292?

We dropped my brother off in Minneapolis, MN at MEPS on 07-08-10. That was the single most difficult day of my entire life. (at least one of them anyways) I watched him do his final swear in, as tears rolled down my face. Saying good-bye and walking away was hard. I have never been so emotional in all of my life (other than maybe my pregnancy... lol).
My 21 year old brother, Jordan, has joined the Navy. When he told me he was thinking about it... I thought, "oh that'll be neat...."; obviously not taking it 100% serious.
