Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Praying

I was really hoping yesterday I would get the form letter, but I did not.  So today I am really praying that it will be in the box this afternoon...Need to seed all the letters and cards I have for my SR.

Waiting

I was really hoping my form letter would be in the mail yesterday, o well it is a little early but one can always hope :)

Yesterday morning I was getting ready to leave for work getting a travel mug for coffee when I twisted the top off and my

had left a note it telling me he loved me and not to forget it.  We have been finding notes all over the house that he has left

Got The Box

Our son left on 8-14-12 and we got his box on the 17th. I could not believe we got it so fast. And I did not think it was going to be that hard to get :( All the things he left with came back right down to his dirty underwear. He was able to keep his bible. This weekend has been hard and just missing him so bad. I went to a wedding on Saterday and the Moms were crying and I was like they are not going any where try sending one to the military. O well I know he is doing what he wanted to do…

Call

Got the call this morning at 2:30 that he had made it to GL and that I should have his box in about a week... He sounded good said he loved me and that was it.

Finally

The last three days have a been crazy. We had my sons going away party Sunday and it was great. Then Monday it was off to the recriters where he checked into a hotal for the night, we were able to take him for dinner and we as a family had a great time, we laughed so hard we cried. Then when we took him back to the hotel is when it all fell apart. He was so strong, his sister who is 20 and has acted like she didnt care about the whole thing fell apart and just cried so did his little…

7 More Days...

7 more days, it just doesnt seem real... and the closer it gets if I ponder to long it is hard to breath.  I know this is all God's plan and I know he will do great, its just going to be hard not to hear his laugh not to see his smiling face and empty room.  So proud and looking forward to the man is he going to become.  Just trying to soak it all in :)
