So, from all the info posted on here, it looks like my sailor isn't going to graduate until 01/06/12....I was hoping and praying for the 12/29 date, but it looks like we just missed it. This is just really hard, since I thought I was doing alright you know? I made it through the first week okay, I've been writing at least twice a day, trying to keep myself busy, and thinking, OK only 7 more weeks, I can do this! But now I just feel like someone pushed the reset button and I'm back to start....it's especially hard since I'm away at college, more than 2 hours away from all of my family, and I feel like my friends here don't really understand.....I just miss him so much, and I had finally stopped crying a couple of days ago, now those feelings of lonliness and hopelessness are back, not to mention today is also our anniversary....Wow, what a horrible start to my day :(
Any comforting words would be really appreciated :(
I as well find myself having crying episodes. I couldnt believe when yesterday I saw the American Flag and burst into tears! Its an adjustment but I dont think any1 gets used to missing their loved ones they just learn to deal. I remind myself that Even though Its an emotional rollercoaster for us its nothing compared to what they are going through being away in a strange place w/ new people new surroundings and w/ no luxuries that we have to get through OUR days. We just need to support each other and be there when one of us needs another to cry on.
Thanks NavyMom, I believe your son/daughter and my boyfriend are in the same Ship/Div!!!
im kind of new at this whole bloging thing ive done the myspace thing when i was younger and then i go the facebook thing but ive never done the bloging thing so i havent posted anything yet but ive done a lot of reading and we have a lot in common. Ive been with my SR for four and half years and this is the first time we have been apart for more than a week and ive certianly never gone this long without talkin to him. My SR left on halloween and graduates the same day as yours. We were thinking he would be gradutating on the 29th as well and it was a devistating day when we found out it would be another week. I totally feel you on everything, i cried a lot when i had to say goodbye to him then i went home and i cried for what seemed like days, he is my best friend and i just dont kno how to live life without him right by my side. This is the time of year where we are suppose to be getting excited for the holidays and all i can think about is how im not going to get to spend it with my man. But our boys are taking a huge step in life and that it is for their and our future. The fact that they are doing all of this for us is what helps me get through the day. if you ever need someone to talk to feel free to reach out, i think we will be going through a lot of the same things so when your friends dont seem to understand i promise you i will
