I thought I would be more of a wreck than I am...I have been busy so maybe just haven't had the time to obsess. My husband had a "moment" when he went downstairs to empty the dehumidifier, that was always our son's job and it caught him off guard. It's kinda crazy how much laundry he left behind though :)

Good Luck on your journey. You will find yourself in the midst of many of those "moments," Well, at least I do and when I do, people like Jessica, my PIR group, and many others are there to listen, to guide to where I need to go, to provide with the space to breathe and regroup, and the knowledge I need to keep on keeping on. Bootcamp for Moms may be your initial lifeline and then you will add your PIR group. You will wait with bated breath for that Kid in a box and hope for a note in the pocket or the inside of the box. The four lines at the bottom of your form letter will be your lifeline to get you through to your first letter. Then as the first letters roll in you will pray like crazy that yours arrives and isn't slow to get there. Gosh I wish I could tell you what comes next...but that's all the farther I am in this journey. My point is it takes a village, a village of people like you will find on this site who will help you, guide you, and touch your life, for a moment, a season, or perhaps for years. For me, there are people who have played various roles in my ability to survive today and to each of them I say thank you. Your journey is just beginning, buckle up get ready for the ride, and don't miss a minute

Best wishes in this new chapter of your life. You will value this site. Everyone here is so helpful. Our only son joined in may and is currently in A school. I can relate to your husbands experience. Going to the grocery store was my moment. It never entered my mind that would be hard. When I saw all the things I always kept at the house for my son.... that I no longer needed to buy. Now I never hesitate to remind parents of little ones in lines at the store that even though you might not realize it now. "You're gonna miss this". and it will be here way before you know it. Now my son gets monthly packages of all those goodies. :)
Thoughts & prayers are with you all. I feel like I am part of a wonderful new family now. After reading comments from so many moms, I start to feel like they are all part of my family too.
