FINALLY!!! I am absoulty content with this Navy life right now!!

LADIES!!!

It has been too long since I have had time to sit down and open up this dusty laptop of mine and get onto N4M!

My wonderful husband came home on November 4th from A-School. We are now stationed at NAS Lemoore. We spent 2 wonderful, relaxing weeks of leave together, bought our first car together, leased our first apartment, bought a tv and have been having a BLAST being married. I have not been so at peace with my life in so long! I am absolutly loving being a wife. It is the best feeling ever. Don't get me wrong, I know nothing is perfect and yes we have our moments, but I wouldnt want to have "those moments" with anyone else but my sailor. And I am sure most women say this, but I have the best husband ever! lol.

Our apartment is TINY! It is a love-hate feeling. :P Our bills are through the roof and we tend to live off cup-o-noodle. But don't think I could ask for anything better! I love it! My husband loves his job and we are making lots of new friends here at Lemoore.

Anyways,

My love is getting deployed to JAPAN!! He is so very excited! And though I am happy that he is going to have many wonderful and life changing experiances, I can't help but to be nervous about the happenings on that side of the world right now. The conflicts between N&S Korea make me nervous about what may happen to our military personell that are over there. I know that I shouldn't worry but I can't help it sometimes. My sisters husband is going to his second tour in afgahistan in March and my husband will leave so there after to Japan, I just hope by then we are still only in one war... and that my brother in law is safe. I have been told countless times that the worst thing that a military wife can do is to watch the news...but I can't help it. I feel like if I know what is going on, maybe I can have some knowledge of what is going to happen in the future, and if my husband will be safe. I guess it comes with the territory eh?

Anyways, I just wanted to update you guys on what is going on. Our interent will be on soon so I will be on a lot more now. (I am at starbucks using up their internet right now)

God Bless,

Rachelle

Congratulations on a very positive new life. We all start off "Tiny" but as we grow and better ouselves, work together, and NEVER take things for granted, our love and possessions will be "HUGE!" God Bless you and your husband and have an amazing life together.

Yay! Sounds about perfect to me.

Korea has been at this since forever. There were incidents when I was stationed in Japan 30 years ago. This one was bad, but the best thing to do is watch and wait. Do a normal amount of worrying, but don't obsess. He's more likely to be hit by a bus than to be bombed or anything. Japan is a wonderful country, he MUST go shopping for you and not complain about the prices. He can mail packages to you from on base at US prices.

Thank you everyone for your support! It has defintely been an adventure so far. And though learning to live with my sailor sometimes feels like a boot camp of my own sorts, I am cherishing it. Learning more everyday and laughing on the silly memories we have made so far. It has been a blast so far and I find myself waking up every morning looking forward to making new memories and growing more in love with him. :)
