My daughter left Feb. 7th.. I took everyones advice, I did not cry in front of her. So, she wasn't upset, before she left on the plane.. I have been cleaning her room.. I recieved her box yesterday, I was so excited, my husband and I smelled her clothes.. LOL.. I miss her dearly, I know she is fine.. She told me it will be three weeks, before she can call home. We are counting the days . Thanks for helping me get through the hard part!

You will be fine!!! Before you know it the time will be up!! STAY BUSY !! Go ahead and write letters for her to have as soon as you get her address. Number them so she will know which to read in case they get mixed up in the mail. The time at BC really does go by fast. My son got to call before the 3 week period. He got to call once a week for like 3 weeks then their was Thanksgiving and he got to leave the base with their group and he called like 6 times that day. Then I didn't hear from him for 3 weeks (YUK) , until I got the I'M A SAILOR CALL  after Battlestations. You will LOVE  Graduation (PIR) she  will look so nice. Well enjoy your journey, I am enjoying mine so far!! My son will graduate A school on Feb 25th . I get to see him soon , saw him last 12/27. Best of luck to you and her!! Blessings to you all!!

I wrote my son just about everyday. It was my way of staying close to him. It helped me alot knowing that the Navy was what he wanted and BC was the 1st step. Just keep busy, and the time actually goes by fast. I thought it was an eternity before graduation, but now there is only 5 days left!!!! Good Luck to your SR and to you. This site will keep you busy and provide wonderful support and information!!! We are all in this together!! God Bless!!

Peggy, y son too left on February 7. It's so hard. The dynamics in the house are totally changed. Makes me lonesome for sure. He was my last one at home. I have a daughter away at college and my oldest son lives on his own and is in the Army so it's just me and hubby. We're trying to make the best of it but it seems our whole lives have always been our kids. It's a major change. I can't wait for the first phone call and letter. I got his form letter yesterday with the graduation date, April 1. I already booked the hotel. I can't wait. Hang in there! I know exactly how  you feel.
