“Today things went well. We did some CBT (computer based training) and its pretty boring. I am still trying to find other ways of getting a hold of you and ITS NOT WORKING!!! We had a mock MCA-WTI inspection, and if it was the real thing I would have gotten a 5.0! I am trying my hardest for Honor Grad. I am trying to make everyone at home proud of the new Navy member of the family. Come to find out dad was right, because of my previous work experiences I have been more prepared to handle it here. I told Day, one of my rack mates if his family cant make it he will have to come out to eat with us. I also found out that no matter what I’ll be leaving boot camp and an E-2, so failing the PFA was not a bad thing. With out you here all the days have seemed like one looooooooooong work day!.”

“Bad news/good news…
Bad news is next week is hell week. Good news is I wont have watch on liberty weekend! Maybe I can get overnight liberty! We have marlinspike on Tuesday. Hopefully the DIV figures out how to work as a team by then, otherwise it will be rough to get through.”

“It has not been a bad day today. The mail system around here has become retarted again, I have not gotten mail since Monday. Oh by the way I ordered division t’s for the both of us. I figured you wouldn’t mind since it only happens once! Ugggg… we have not ONE but TWO days of Holiday Routine coming up. I HATE HR for a couple of reasons 1) too many hours of down time 2) kids wont shut up 3)not much we can do. not like we can make a phone call or watch TV, or take a nap or anything… Oh well that’s BC for you.”

aww... I am glad they help! I know I went crazy the first 2 weeks my husband was gone. I got his box of clothes 2 days after he got there, and his address 10 after that. I hated not hearing anything. I didnt find this site until the 4th week he was gone and I am so glad I did, it has been a life saver for me!

Be sure to write alot, I have found that they like to get mail daily... lol I was putting 2 and 3 letters in one envelope, but he told me to mail them separate that way he gets more! and send lots of photos! It helps keep them going. on walmart.com you can make 4x6 collage pictures, I usually put like 4-5 images on one 4x6 to help save room, as they dont have alot of storage space. I also sent him a big envelope to put all his mail in to help keep it neat.

With all that said I want to thank your husband for his commitment to our country and also thank you for being there to support him! I know its tough but keep your chin up, the time goes faster then you think! ♥

I found this site about 2 weeks before he left and I have been on it 3x a day since he left. I write him one long letter a day just telling him what i did that day and I put a pic in each letter. I just cant bare the thought of him not getting mail one day. It would break my heart :(  He actually got to call me today which helped tremendously! When did u start to get his letters? When does he graduate?

I got his first letter on 12/28, he left here dec 12. it took him equally if not a tad longer to start getting my mail. The first few letters I got from him were rough and quite mopey. He questioned everything he was doing, weather it was right for us, etc... then once he started getting my mail his letters did a 180. they became much happier. you have o remember as much as you want to share EVERYTHING, spare him the sad stuff, keep your letters upbeat and positive! I have just hit the 20 more days mark! My husband graduates on 2/11.
