While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Last set of letters + a phone call
Today I got the last set of letters from my love, I also got a random and very unexpected phone call on sat! I have to admit I will miss getting letters from him in the mail, but it does mean boot camp is coming to an end and we can move on to skype dates!
His letters were short, but in all hes still excelling!

I got more letters from my love today, 3 to be exact! He got his orders for “A” school. He got the rate of “FC” or Fire Controlman, he had wanted “ET” but said this will do. Didn’t say if they were “accompanied” orders… silly. I will find out when I get up there I guess. On the 25th he said they took Test 2 and out of 160…

I de-stressed myself today
I got to relieve some of my stress and anxiety today. I went with my in-laws to the gun range.
I love going shooting. I remember the first time I went I was so nervous to even think about touching a gun.
But now I enjoy it. My comfort level has increased greatly over the last few trips to the range and
I have moved up from only shooing 22's to shooting a 9mil and 40 cal.

The best 15 min of my life!
So no phone call yesterday…. pretty much ruined my day! Today even though I didn’t really want to I got up and went to church. It was nice. After church we had lunch, and I left to go to walmart… I had to get vinegar and baking soda to clean my VERY burnt pan!

Round 3 of letters from T
So today I got 3 letters from Tim, these are dated 12/29 - 1/1
He is in MUCH better spirits as he has started to get my letters....♥ He appoligized for being so mopey, but he felt like he was 'trapped in a bubble' and not getting any information. I checked the mail today, and there was only one lonely envelope in there... a letter from my love ♥.
These were written on the 26th + 27th Postmarked on the 29th. They are much shorter than the last ones... and alot more depressing. He is wicked homesick. He got the Master at Arms position which is a very good thing!
