Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

waiting for my first phone call!! omg so i got a letter telling me he was calling today and so i am waiting...trying to keep my mind off of it by going to a work meeting, watching a movie and hanging out with my friends till i hear the ring of my phone!! waiting is so hard and ive realized that talking this thing one week at a time instead of one day at a time is the way to go...it seems faster and well makes me happier! this week certainly started out very badly. i was crying and missing him more than ever but it is ending as the best week since he left! i got letters thursday, i got letters friday and i get a phone call today and maybe another one in a few days!! and its almost down to one month left :) yay!!!!

it does get better...it never seems like it can but it does and you'll get tired of everyone saying that to you (gosh knows i did lol) but the letters help TONS and getting the phone calls is like nothing you've ever felt before...hearing his voice is heaven on earth, if you need anything dont hesitate to message me (you can also friend me on facebook, Keri Lorig, im on there more often than N4M) just remember whenever you feel like the sadness is gonna take over write him a letter and its only 2 months :)
