OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

NAVY MAIL, NAVY MAIL, HOT DIGGITY DOG, I GOT NAVY MAIL!

I FINALLY got REAL MAIL! Omg it was so wonderful to hear from her! She seems to be in good spirits and still has her very wonderful sense of humor! She did get injured though(knee injury, bruised), and had to walk on crutches for a few days, or until it's better. I feel so relieved to see her beautiful handwriting on paper! Her last date on letters was March 31, so I hope her knee is recovering, because she was on light duty, and could not stand for more than 15 minutes at a time. She told about the shots, and how they went through a line of people giving them, and how the really thick one(peanut butter i think) hurt very bad! Says she loves us and misses us very much and this was harder than she ever imagined and added she is going to do it! I can hardly wait to see her and hope that the knee injury won't set her back too much. I never thought a simple piece of mail could mean so much! I feel like I just won lottery!!!!!!!
