my son graduated boot camp march 19th 2010. I was lucky enough to get to go. The mistake was driving 1100 plus miles one way left late Wednesday and returning by 6am Monday. the driving was murder it was me and 3 other ladies most of the driving fell to me do to several reasons but any way it was a lesson learned and not repeated. It was worth it to see my son. high school graduation in may boot camp in march two big mile stones in less than 10 months it makes him all the more grown up. we did have a lot of fun once we arrived. Now lets review me ( mom) his aunt Debbie and his girlfriend Amylia and her mother Sandra whom i just met a week or so before the trip but that's the only way her dad would let her go.(only dating for 4 or 5 months) so i did not blame him he has not met me are Alex. any way i'm rambling. we all shared a room first day after graduation we are all in the room visiting with Alex. Sandra (the mom) comes and lays on the bed in front of me to tell me she cant get the coffee pot to turn on so i tell her i will look at it i get up and as i do so something happens and she falls to the floor i tried to catch her but did not . I am laughing so hard along with being embarrassed. My son hollers mom what did you do ?? all i could do at this point is help her up. but still could not stop laughing along with her and everyone but him until he realizes that she is okay and laughing too. he finally started laughing then it was on. everything was funny. by the way she got me later when i tripped over her bag. but any way i just wanted to start out a blog cause this is my first one. Alex is in (S.C) in school and he says its the hardest classes ever so I am worried about him hes studying nonstop and still going 24/7 but i know he can make it but i worry about his health. I will just be glad when he finishes this phase of the navy. .

This is hilarious! We all better keep our sense of humor or we'll go nuts! Congratulations to your son- I'm sure boot camp wasn't easy. I think hotels are great backdrops for comedy. "What's up Doc" the movie is a case in point. If you havn't seen it, please do, it is a classic.
