Ship 13 Division 309 - My son started BC Aug 1 - Graduation Date Sep 28 PLEASE JOIN IN!

Just received my first letter yesterday was sooooooooo exciting.  No words from him but I could tell they made him feel out the info and first page with my name on it, he drew a heart by my name which made me tear up and so happy as he was telling me he loved me!!!!  Thats going to last me for a few days at least.  I've bought 6 of his closest friend, writing paper, envelopes and stamps so they can start bombarding him with letters.  Would love to hear from anyone and of course those who have a son or daugher in Ship 13 Div 309.  Today is a good day!

I am so excited and nervous as I am sure you are!   Are you going to the graduation? Great Lakes is only like five hours from us so it will be a easy drive!

yes we are  most definitely going to the graduation but will be flying.  I received my first phone call from him yesterday only 1-1/2 weeks into BC.  He won a competition so was allowed a 10 minute phone call.  I was estatic, he sounded positive and upbeat, said it was harder than he thought but thats good i think!  Are you going to the meet and greet on Thursday and have you decided which one you are going to.  We are staying at the Navy Lodge.  my work email where i sit all day is lnewlin@eprod.com if you ever want to talk f

Ha!  No worries, Leisa.  My name gets spelled incorrectly on a regular basis.  I'm not sure if we will be going to the meet and greet only because (more) family will be arriving into town that day.  I'll keep you guys informed though.  Keep in touch!  Have an awesome day :)
