Just got a "brief" letter today from my son.  Said he just found out that his division is "Grad-N-Go" and will need to be back at 5.  Didn't say what day, but I'm told that is 5 on graduation day.  Thought I had the weekend with him, now I have only a few hours.  I'm feeling so sad right now.  I want more time with him!

My heart goes out to you! I know exactly how you feel. I hugged my son good-bye at 9:30 Monday morning and received a 10 second phone call on Tuesday night to tell me his box will be here in 2 weeks and a letter in three. I have practically memorized the graduation day schedule and rules and have already made plans for the day. I would be devastated if I found out if T had to be back early!! I do hope his mates are just messing with him.

Wow.  I guess I never thought about that.  So I shouldn't change our flight and hotel yet?  I'm getting ready to write him a letter and ask for more details.  He told me to bring his i-pad, and i-pod cause he can take them to Pensecola, Fl.  Confused, but I'll get it figured out.  Thanks all!

LOL, my son too has given me a list of his stuff that he wants me to ship off to him to Pennsicola too, once he graduates! My son told me he can't take stuff with him because he is technically still in boot camp when they fly to FL, but apparently he can receive these items once he arrives in Pennsicola. I'm torn between shipping all his electronics (kids today!) or driving the 17 hrs to deliver it myself :)

Thank you!  I sent my son a sort of questionare.  I asked the questions, he fills in the blanks and sends it back to me....I hope.  When I know more, I'll change my plans as needed.  I will bring his i-pad/pod and probably end up brining it to the airport cause I know they can't take it back to the base.  I like the meeting place idea, I'll use that.  I wouldn't miss his graduation for the world, I'll take what ever time I can with him.  This is about him, not me.  I'll wait for his letter back and continue counting the days till the 4th!!!
