Well my sailor is officially that... a sailor. She completed MEPS yesterday. She will leave for basic training on July 17th after graduation. Two months ago graduation was all she talked about. Now it is just an event to get through before she leaves on her life adventure. Her dad and I are so proud.....

Have her come and join the deppers chat.  We had 30 of them on last night talking about wanting to leave for boot camp...

Thank you all... We are so excited for our daughter - and I will tell you this morning I think she walked a little straighter. I have learned so much the last couple of months just reading. Finally got the courage up a couple of days ago to start asking my own questions. This is a great tool. Thank you for helping us newbies

Please don't let her wear her Navy shirt or Navy cap to bootcamp - she will bombarded with redicule & embarrassment...those Chief's will give it to her...and not in a good way...lol

Great advice... I am sure that is exactly what she would wear. I will tell her.

NauticalMom, thanks for that post.  My son leaves for Great Lakes in Jan.  He seldom wears a shirt that doesn't have Navy or "Fulfill your destiny" on it.  I know he doesn't have a cap without Navy on it.
