Update on Yvonne's CT Myelogram on Wednesday

Update on Yvonne's test on Wednesday...

We arrived at the OBICI Sentara Hospital in Suffolk at 7:00 in the morning. They started prepping her for the procedure at a little after 8:00. There were two parts: The injection of the dye in her spine and x-rays in various positions, and then the CT scan again in various positions. The positioning and injection of the dye was very painful for her. But she came through it ok. The CT scan wasn't bad she said. But then she had to lay flat on her back for two hours. The first ten minutes were excruciatingly painful. Then the CT tech came back into the room where we were and said she could lay on her side as long as she didn't lift her head. As soon as she rolled to her side her pain was almost gone! She went to sleep. Then they came and got us and took us back up to the original prep room. There she fell back to sleep for the next couple of hours. Finally they sent us home about 1:30. She slept on the way home. As soon as we got home it was time for a nap! Thank you all for your prayers!! Now we wait until November 2nd to see Dr. Shuff the surgeon again. Please keep praying. This has been one long ordeal and both of us were hoping it would have been long over by now!

John, Thank you so much for the update! May the Lord continue to pour out his grace, wisdom, and peace upon you both and all of the doctors and caregivers. I am so glad that Yvonne was allowed to move to her side, so that her pain could be relieved.
