Hi,

Yes we are going to graduation (my husband, daughter and myself).  We arrive 4/7.  We are staying at the Comfort Inn in Waukegan.  I wasn't sure where to stat so I just picked a hotel that was pretty close to RTC.

Hi Krissi,

I live near Concord. My son left on 2/9/11.  He is Ship 11, Div 127.  He is also a PIR on 4/8!  Have received two letters (in addition to the 4-linen form letter) and a phone call Tuesday night (3/8/11).

Hi, thanks for the note. I must say I'm a little challenged on this site and don't have a bunch of time to log on. I'm most curious about PIR, as I have a trip planned and need to know if I should cancel. Just waiting...and praying-for my sailor. Super excited for her opportunity.

Well, crazy me, I never saw your post on my page....dah...anyway, things have been very hectic here but a good hectic.  No, make that a terrific hectic.  We had a wonderful Christmas with Jonathan being home but his older brother and his wife also came.  When Jonathan graduated A school in Meridian he acted like he couldn't get back right away.  I was sooooooo bummed that Friday.  But what I didn't know was that my four boys had all conspired to get Jonathan home without me knowing anything.  He was a my door that night.  My other son and his wife who live near Boston picked him up at the airport and they have all been here since.   LOVE IT!!  My dIL did get a photo of me hugging my poor sailor to death!!!  woo hoo.  sneaky bunch they are.  Made for a terrific Kodak moment!!  I cried like a baby.

Things will go much faster for you now.  You'll be ok until you can't talk to her.  Then the stress really hits you.  Just know we are here for you.  We know the drill and can tell you what you are going through is normal.  It'll be OK.  She will be great.
