Yes we are going to graduation (my husband, daughter and myself). We arrive 4/7. We are staying at the Comfort Inn in Waukegan. I wasn't sure where to stat so I just picked a hotel that was pretty close to RTC.
I live near Concord. My son left on 2/9/11. He is Ship 11, Div 127. He is also a PIR on 4/8! Have received two letters (in addition to the 4-linen form letter) and a phone call Tuesday night (3/8/11).

I live in Pa...I see you are from Maine, awesome!
Hi, thanks for the note. I must say I'm a little challenged on this site and don't have a bunch of time to log on. I'm most curious about PIR, as I have a trip planned and need to know if I should cancel. Just waiting...and praying-for my sailor. Super excited for her opportunity.
HI Nice to meet you. I live in VT and no other parents have posted to the VT site. I'm still waiting for 'the box' to arrive, but was happy to get my letter today!
Well, here I am trying to upload pics and create albums, doesn't seem to be working the way I expected. I need some help with the one that says, "civilian lilly" there is no pic there. i wanted that to be the cover photo. now I can't seem to change it. ugh, any suggestions ladies?
Well, Lilly landed, just got off the phone, she's very upbeat, belly is full, and ready for her bus ride to RTC she knows pretty much what is coming her way and so far still sounds quite excited. So, I feel much better and I just cant wait to sleep tonight. Thanks Navy moms, I will do my best to keep you updated and try and get some pics up by the weekend
Hi, sorry we didn't make it to the party. We have had the flu here big time...still fighting cough and congestion...was in bed all last week. Hubby was home all week too. Please keep us posted on Lils bc and updates from her letters. Hope all is well. Hope you are doing ok!! Get ready for the ride!! And no fair closing your eyes or holding your breath!!
OH, yeah, My hubby and I were going to go help with the wreaths but Jonny showed up the night before!!!! That must have been awesome!! I was going to make sure a friends of ours husband got a wreath. She did go up there later the next day and said he had......yay!! What a great thing to do!! Thanks!
Well, crazy me, I never saw your post on my page....dah...anyway, things have been very hectic here but a good hectic. No, make that a terrific hectic. We had a wonderful Christmas with Jonathan being home but his older brother and his wife also came. When Jonathan graduated A school in Meridian he acted like he couldn't get back right away. I was sooooooo bummed that Friday. But what I didn't know was that my four boys had all conspired to get Jonathan home without me knowing anything. He was a my door that night. My other son and his wife who live near Boston picked him up at the airport and they have all been here since. LOVE IT!! My dIL did get a photo of me hugging my poor sailor to death!!! woo hoo. sneaky bunch they are. Made for a terrific Kodak moment!! I cried like a baby.
Things will go much faster for you now. You'll be ok until you can't talk to her. Then the stress really hits you. Just know we are here for you. We know the drill and can tell you what you are going through is normal. It'll be OK. She will be great.
Oh, man, I forgot about the NH flag...thanks for the reminder. I was at jcpenneys the next day and ran into Kelly. She got to meet my kiddos and my hubby. Yes, the luncheon was quite nice. I really enjoyed it. Hopefully we will do it again, soon. I will post pics when I get back.
